Hi visitors,

Just a short note since it'll be a while until this starts.

After finishing my engagements with some more or less well known mods, I will start giving level design lessons.

Many people asked me for assistance in getting started with mapping or improving their level design skills and I usually have to deny those requests because the little free time I have would be literally gone.

Now the situation will hopefully clear up a bit, so I guess I will just start with it and see how it goes.

The tutoring will be available to both beginners and more experienced mappers; I can't do it for free, but I will keep it as cheap as possible... I will try to adapt the tarifs for people who don't have a big income.

Soo...if you're interested in listening to a bit of my "know-how"talking, just send me an e-mail to tilsichel@hotmail.de.

The first lesson will be free so you can decide whether to continue the course or not.

Expect between 7 and 10 hours, one or two per week.

P.S.: the first five people signing up will get the course a third cheaper ;-)....

Cheers,

Til / Albatros

I just checked the forums at interlopers.net/ where I made a release thread about dod_nuernberg last week.

I'm pretty surprised and very happy to see that the map received some great feedback there and went on to be the next spotlight map.

Thanks guys Lachen.

There is still a lot left to improve and polish for future releases, but with all the feedback and bug reports I get, it'll be easy to focus on the "big points" soon.

Hi,

Currently, I'm working on a texture/decal pack made of my own photo material; I hope I can make it available to the community until June or July.

Stay tuned Smilie.

Nuernberg is live!

13 months of planning, brushworking, playtesting and bugfixing coming to an end: dod_nuernberg_rc1 is being released.

The map has numerous gizzmos, like exploding ammo crates and airstrikes giving some extra tactical options.

You'll have to find the rest (and there IS a rest ;-) ) on your own.

The size for the final map-pack version will be a lot smaller, but considering the almost 50% share of custom content, the 2 minutes of download time should be fine compared to the 900+ hours of work put into that map.

Special thanks to Paul aka Splatt from Rommel's Renegades - you did an awesome job collecting more than 300 screenshots of bugs and glitches!

You can get the file right here at:

albatros44.de/nuernberg/dod_nuernberg_rc1.zip

Get it as long as it's hot and my traffic ain't used up ;p

P.S.:

If you want to support me a bit, you can do that on the About Me page. Actually, you'd be the first one, but there's a first time for everything, right? Auslachen
